The
Destructive Consequences of Pornography and its impact on the church
Many
men are enticed by the sensual images that surround them. These
images range from suggestive ads to pornography. When men entangle
themselves in pornographic images, they entangle themselves within
an unreal world that is difficult to escape. Their involvement with
pornography has a number of destructive consequences summarized
in this workshop along with solutions for winning the battle over
it.
Where
are Men Today?
How
would you describe the American male today? How does the American
male feel today? What are the outcomes of these cultural messages
on the American male today? The workshop will focus on the six unique
characteristics of men and how they shape the church’s ministry

relationships with God and others. In this workshop we will discover
ways to maintain a core-to-core connection with God and others.
10
Habits of Moral Integrity for Men
In this
workshop we will consider 10 healthy habits to attain and maintain
dynamic relationships with God and others. Because these habits
are based on biblical principles, they enhance a man’s character.
They strengthen his spirit, mind, and body – enhancing a deep,
accountable, and nurturing connection with God and other men that
will carry us through many trials and temptations.
Counterfeit
Relationships and Men
Our
culture is saturated with counterfeits, objects of desire that pretend
to meet men’s God-given needs for intimacy. They hinder men
from meeting God’s standards of purity, fail to satisfy their
deepest God-given longings, and bring destructive consequences.
We’ll discover the damaging consequences of counterfeits and
how to avoid them.

owner's manual for how God created marriage. He and He alone knows
how it should function.
How
to Recruit, Train and Nurture Volunteers for Men’s Ministries
The
greatest problem facing the church today is the unemployment problem.
I don't know of any church who can hang a sign out front that says
"No help needed." Every Christian has been gifted by God
to serve the body. But where is the process breaking down? This
workshop will concentrate on how Jesus recruited, trained, and nurtured
volunteers. We will uncover guidelines to help us overhaul how we
are finding, enlisting, developing and using the leadership of our
local churches.
Creativity
in Men’s Ministry
Does
the Bible have anything to say about creativity or is it merely
another modern gimmick? What identifiable characteristics do creative
individuals share? What roadblocks can prevent you from becoming
an imaginative individual? These questions form the basis for this
workshop. Brainstorming, plusing, objection countering, storyboarding,
and other techniques will be discussed and demonstrated.
Discovery
Learning for Men

benefit of this session is that participants will learn a way of
presentation that makes it possible for men to retain up to 90%

Jesus (John 8:1-11; Luke 5:1-11; Luke 24:13-35), Jesus and the learning
cycle (Matthew 19:16-22), tips for guiding group/individual involvement,
choosing/evaluating the best method and asking the right questions.

Sex

must keep in mind. These principles are the key to effective communication
with youth. We will also look at the six characteristics of a "safe
environment" and good discussion techniques.
Programming
Youth Ministry
A coordinated,
balanced youth ministry doesn't just happen. There are too many
pieces involved for things to just fall together. There needs to
be a system or a process whereby someone deliberately and purposely
puts it all together. In this workshop we will work through eight
steps for putting it all together in youth ministry. The workshop
will also be full of ideas for youth seasonal activities.

Management
In this
workshop both the secular and Christian view of management will
be examined. We’ll first and foremost examine management of
our organizations through a Biblical lens. Christ gave us marvelous
management principle in Matthew 20:20-28 with what has been dubbed
the so-called Platinum Rule – whoever would be great –
serve. We’ll probe Biblical principles on management as well
as celebrated works on management including the Towers Perrin study
and Henri Fayol’s traditional elements of management (planning,
organizing, directing or motivating, setting controls and using
them).
Communication
This
workshop will investigate the theory of how communication works.

of ensuring complete communication

under your management.

Can
Ordinary People Make A Contribution?
One
of the archenemies of serving God is false propaganda - wrong ideas
that get imbedded in Christians minds before truth can find lodging.
The false propaganda carries with it a line something like this,
"Serving God is for superstars - spiritual giants. It is not
for ordinary people like me." This workshop will look at ordinary
people who are doing extraordinary things and how God can use you
to impact your world.
